Treatment of Personal Data

In accordance with Law 15/1999 of 13 December on the Protection of Personal Data, users accept that the personal data provided at the time of booking will be incorporated into a file owned by HOTEL HURRICANE SL, hereinafter “the company”, with VAT number B-11413184 and registered address at Ctra Nacional 340, Km. 78, 11380, Tarifa Cádiz (SPAIN) , for management of the reservation system, processing of users´requests, control and management of the relationship with users of the web that make reservations, as well as for statistical studies of users registered in the mentioned web that allow the design of improvements in the services provided. All fields of the forms marked as obligatory must be necessarily filled in for the correct processing of users´ requests. The personal data users provide will only be communicated to third parties in compliance with legal obligations or with users´ prior consent.

Users expressly consent to the use of bank details provided in order to meet possible penalties for cancellations or no-shows set out in the conditions of the rates and reservations. The processing of reservations necessarily involves the aforementioned treatment which is why it will not be possible to finish the process of reserving in case of opposition to it. Users may, at any time, exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation or opposition as indicated below.

Truthfulness of the data

The user will respond, in any case, to the veracity of the data provided, whilst the company will reserve its right to exclude any user who has provided false information from the registered services, without prejudice to other actions that may apply regarding law. Likewise, users must be duly authorized to provide data of third parties. Only with the consent of future guests of the hotel, users may enter their names and surnames in the section “Distribution of rooms”. Such information which will allow the Hotel to provide a better service to its guests, is optional, so that its consignment by users implies assumption of their sole responsibility and duty to inform them of the content of our Privacy Policy prior to offering personal information.

Right of Withdrawal

We inform all users that according to Article 103 L. Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, right of withdrawal shall not apply to contracts relating to: The provision of accommodation services for purposes other than serving as a dwelling, transportation of goods, car rental, food or services related to leisure activities, if the contracts provide for a specific date or period of performance.

Data processing during navigation

In accordance with legal obligation under art. 22.2 of Law 34/2002, of July 11, 2002, on information society services and electronic commerce, you are hereby informed that this company uses cookies. A cookie is a piece of text information that websites transfer to the hard disk of the computers that connect to them. We use session cookies to identify the user and maintain the user’s identification status. Session cookies are automatically deleted from your hard drive when your session ends. We also use cookies to collect anonymous aggregated statistics that allow us to analyze how users use our website in order to improve it. Only the following information is obtained and retained about visitors to our website:
  • a) The provider’s domain name (ISP) and/or IP address that gives them access to the network. For example, a user of provider xxx will only be identified with the domain xxx.es and/or the IP address. In this way we can compile statistics on the countries and servers that visit our website most often.
  • b) Date and time of access to our website. This allows us to find out the busiest hours, and make the necessary adjustments to avoid saturation problems during our peak hours.
  • c) The internet address from which the link to our web site started. Thanks to this information, we may learn about the effectiveness of the different banners and links that point to our server, in order to promote those that offer better results.
  • d) The number of daily visitors to each section. This allows us to know the most successful areas and to increase and improve their content, so that users may obtain a more satisfactory result.
It will allow us to obtain the following information:
  • a) Date and time of the last time the users visited our website.
  • b) Design of contents chosen by users during their visit to our website.
  • c) Security elements involved in controlling access to restricted areas.

Although the information obtained is, in principle, completely anonymous, in accordance with Report 327/2003 of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, users are informed that the above data will be incorporated into the company’s personal data file for the purposes detailed above, and users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition as indicated below.

Additionally we use the Google Adwords remarketing tool. This tool facilitates publishing in the Google Adwords content network (more details about the Google content network here: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2404190), ads based on previous visits of users to our website. To do this, some of the pages of our website include a code called “remarketing tag”. By using these tags browser cookies may be read and configured in order to determine the type of specific ad that will be shown to users, based on elements related to their visit to our website, such as, for example, the navigation circuit chosen, the specific pages visited or the actions that have been performed on them. Remarketing lists thus created are stored in a database on Google’s servers where all cookie IDs associated with each list or interest category are stored. The information obtained only allows the identification of a specific browser, and Google will not be able to identify specific users with this information (more information about the Remarketing tool in the following link: https://www.google.es/adwords

Regarding the company, this information may only be associated with any specific user in the event that this user is identified on the web, for example by having completed a booking process. In this case the data thus obtained will be communicated to the company for purposes of commercial prospecting and segmentation of web users to design commercial campaigns according to the interests shown during navigation, incorporating the data into a file of the company for the aforementioned purposes. To exclude treatment and communication mentioned above, users may disable cookies, as indicated below:

Should users wish to receive information about promotions of the company they may authorize the transfer of their data for this purpose simply by accepting these Terms of Booking. If, on the other hand, they do not wish to receive information in this regard, they must expressly tick the opt-out box. Only when there is consent to do so, the personal data necessary for communication will be transferred to HOTEL HURRICANE SL and will serve to keep users informed, either by email or by other means, news, products and services related to the company and HOTEL HURRICANE SL. From this moment users are informed that, if they have expressed their consent, their personal data will be incorporated into a file for which the company is responsible. Users may access, cancel, rectify or oppose their data processing by writing to the company as indicated below.

All rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition may be exercised by sending a letter with a copy of your ID card to the person in charge of the corresponding file at the address indicated below:

Responsibility of the hotel

Access to the page does not imply in any case the existence of a commercial relationship between users and company. The portal only provides information about hotel vacancies at the time of requesting such information, which means that in the moment of reserving on-line, users are contracting directly with the hotel and not with the portal. The printed version of the reservation serves as confirmation when users check in at the hotel.

The reservation of hotel nights on this website implies the adherence and acceptance of each and every one of the general conditions set forth herein.

By accepting the following clauses, users declare and accept:

  • 1) To be of legal age and have full capacity to make the reservation, stating that they know and understand all the conditions stated on the website.

  • 2) That the information provided when making the on-line reservation is true, complete and concise.
  • 3) Only those pages that appear in the site map are included in the website.
  • 4) That access to this web page is the responsibility of users.
  • 5) That once a reservation has been made, the electronic document which formalizes it will be filed and users will be able to access it at any time.
  • 6) That users confirm the reservation made, including the dates indicated, such as number of rooms, number of people and the Hotel chosen.
  • 8) As to the relationship with the portal, this gives users the possibility to book rooms of the chosen hotel through its website, but does not offer any kind of hotel service under its direct responsibility.

  • 9) That credit card details are collected for the purpose of guaranteeing the reservation. The payment of the same will be made directly at the Hotel and only in case of cancellations or no-shows the reservation will be canceled and the penalty stated in the rate conditions will be charged.
  • 10) Offers will only be valid for the time they remain accessible to the recipients of the service.

Prices

Prices shown are Retail Prices including VAT.

Rates include: Price per night depending on the type of room and room and board regime selected, with the exception of hotels where the inclusion of other services is specifically indicated.

Prices do not include: Any unspecified services and extras such as transfers, tips, telephone calls, laundry services, minibar, parking fees, etc..

Check-in and check-out time: As a general rule and unless expressly agreed otherwise with the establishment, rooms may be used from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12 a.m. on the day of departure.

Passports and visas

All travelers, without exception (including children), must have their personal and family documentation with them, whether passport or identity card, according to current legislation. It will be the responsibility of the travelers to obtain visas, passports, vaccination certificates, etc., when required. Minors under 18 years of age must carry a written permission signed by their parents or guardians, in anticipation that it may be requested by any authority. Should any authority refuse to grant visas, for particular causes of the user, or should users be denied entry into the country for lack of the requirements demanded, or by defect in the required documentation, or for not being the bearer of the same, the hotel declines all responsibility for events of this nature, and any expenses involved will the the sole responsibility of users. In this case applying in these circumstances the conditions and rules established for the case of no-show will apply.

Required minimum stay in Hotel Hurricane Tarifa

The minimum number of days required to reserve a room depend on the season.

In low season we normally require 2 days during the weekends.
During the rest of the week we will be happy to reserve your room for a single night.

To make it possible for you to enjoy a long stay at our hotel, a minimum of 3, 4 or up to 7 nights may be required
in mid + high season. This varies according to the availability of rooms.

If you reserve online, our booking engine will indicate the minimum stay required for the dates you desire.
If you book by email , our team will inform you about the minimum stay.

Cancellation Policy Hotel Hurricane Tarifa

We request 25% of the total amount of your stay to guarantee your reservation.
Reservations are not considered firm until the corresponding deposit has been received and confirmation sent by email.

Should you have to cancel and inform us up to 15 days prior to arrival, we will refund your deposit in full.
In case of cancellation less than 15 days before arrival we do not refund your deposit.

If you wish to bring your pet with you, please read our terms and conditions concerning animals:
Daily rate per dog or cat: 30€
Deposit per pet: 200€ upon check-in

If at the time of check-out your room is found without damage or excessive dirt (p.e. sheets, mattresses, curtains or duvets), this deposit will be taken off your invoice.
Otherwise we will have to charge you for all damaged objects according to our price list which you will find in frequently asked questions and also in the internal regulations at the bottom of this page.
