Hotel Hurricane

Tarifa´s Hurricane Hotel is a legend, surrounded by subtropical gardens that lead to miles of pristine beaches, with spectacular views of the Strait of Gibraltar and Morocco. It is managed by a family, owners since 1984, when it first opened as a hotel. It stands out for its relaxed and loving atmosphere, its good food and its wide range of leisure activities, so for many customers this hotel is already a second home, and many return year after year, because for them it is more than a hotel, it is a way of life.

With two pools at their disposal, guests may choose between the main pool, set amidst bougainvillea and hibiscus, or the privacy of the gym pool. While in the large main pool children are always welcome and even have a small shallow area to play in, the smaller gym pool is exclusively for adults who may wish for more peace and quiet.

The hotel grounds are a veritable botanical garden and home to many species of birds. There is a fountain with fish and aquatic turtles, and it is not uncommon to see herons preying on the fish from the highest branches of the trees. There are many nooks and crannies that invite you to read a book or indulge in a quiet nap. In one part of the gardens herbs such as basil, cilantro, rúcula or parsley are grown ecologically to be used in the kitchen.

Our gym is fully equipped with weight bars, exercise benches, back and pec trainers, seated rowing, multi-position bench or stationary bikes. If you prefer a personal training plan, an expert is at your disposal. Yoga, Pilates and stretching classes as well as a pingpong table complete the offer. We also have a wellness area equipped with a Finnish sauna and an oriental hammam. Additionally we offer different types of massages and osteopathy as well as “painless” therapy sessions by certified experts.
